Can I Just Put Contaminated Mycelium In A Pot?
    #26708653 - 05/31/20 07:51 AM (3 years, 7 months ago)

I have 8 jars of contaminated mexican dutch king mycelium with brown contamination stopping the mycelium from growing anymore.

Would it be possible to still grow the mushrooms by just breaking it up (with a mask and gloves of course) and just put it in a layer in a pot with soil? Would the mushrooms grow or would I just have a pot full of moldy soil?

Hell yeah you can spawn it in a garden pot outside. It might mold over it might not. But as long as it is outside your home it won't hurt.

Excellent! Thanks for your quick reply. Now, do I have to rehydrate or am I good to just break them up and put them in the soil?

Up to you. If they are in tub form I imagine that your already hydrated in jar form I would mix it with something to hold the water. If it is seriously contaminated get ride

Of it.
