Jar “Thought to be a dud” Suddenly Colonizing?
    #26708047 - 05/30/20 10:21 PM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Hey all! So around 3 weeks ago I knocked-up 12 jars. Fast forward to now, and up until I just checked them a moment ago, I had only seen growth on 7 of the jars. I had pushed the other 5 aside on the shelf to “see” but had given up. I look at my jars today, however, and miraculously see a large patch of healthy mycelium growth one of the “dead jars”(atleast to what I know). All of the jars have been under the same conditions. Is it common for such a late bloomer? Thanks in advance!

'They' say it can take up to 2 weeks for spores to germinate. I've always seen them in 4-5 days tops myself. Do you have pictures of these jars? When had you looked last because if its large in a very short time that might not be good.

I don’t check them daily and don’t have pics of that jar atm but can update with one tomorrow. This one simply didn’t have anything goin on and suddenly I check if after roughly 3 days since last and it’s got nice white mycelium growth roughly the size of a half dollar on a half-pint jar. Keeping isolated to see how it goes

I was going to toss about 5 jars I have had since 5/11.  All the same strain.  Only one of 5 different strains that didn't do anything.  I am going to hold onto them and see. Glad I saw this.
