Some morels i found today

i found these morels growing today, up in the lynwood area of washington state, if you look out the window of the car(in the picture) you can see the enviroment they came from. i didnt really expect to find morels while walking through the parking lot.

hope you enjoy the picture (sorry quality is bad i did not have my good camera with sorry.

wow -- i love those real pointy ones. nice score.

how many spots did the batch pictured get harvested from?

someone keeps a small blade in wallet, comes in handy to slice the fruit at the base, so as not to disturb the underlying mass.

ummmm, all of those came from one spot, i would say that spot was about 50 feet longer, and no more then 7 feet wide.

i remember about a month ago i saw easily 30 morels growing, and i was gonna get them the next day when i had some time, but alas somebody picked them, then the week after that we had a heat spell that dried everything up.

i guess thats one of those "fish that got away stories" for ya.
