Forget toilet paper. Has anybody been successful buying Lysol spray or disinfectant wipes, yet?

I live in Cleveland, and buying toilet paper was never a problem here. My grocery store across the street had a limit of 1 per customer, so they've had it in stock from Day 1. Costco restocked two weeks later, and they've yet to sell out. They have all the brands.
What I've had trouble buying is motherfuckin Lysol spray and disinfectant wipes.
I don't know how hard it is to manufacture an alcohol solution, but it shouldn't be out of stock for 5 months. This is some sad shit, honestly.
If America can't even keep up with the demand for something as simple as a can of disinfectant spray, I don't know how on Earth we're gonna mass produce a syringe of vaccine for the entire population. At this rate, it's gonna take fuckin years to vaccinate everyone, and by then, I'm sure there'll be new strains of corona that make the current vaccine obsolete. We're just gonna be playing catchup 'til kingdom come.

I was smart and bought 3 gallons of everclear from the liquor store before shit hit the fan.
For the last two weeks I've been using 95% drinkable booze to sanitize stuff.
I'd love it if I could get some isopropyl alcohol though and quit wasting good booze!

95% ethanol is actually ineffective as a sanitizer, it evaporates too quickly

THat can't be true because I read multiple articles from the CDC saying otherwise.
ALso it doesn't evaporate that fast.
Isopropyl 90% evaporates Wayyyy faster than 95% ethanol.

you can feel free to link me but... ethanol is a great disinfectant, and at 95% concentration is fine for some surfaces/processes, but in the hospital 70% alcohol is used for sanitizing hands. we're told the reason is that higher concentrations evaporate more quickly, so it's better for the alcohol to remain on your hands for longer.

if there's any booze that's put to better use as a sanitizer it's everclear

I've been lucky. I've found 70% iso here and there. And Lysol all purpose cleaner is kinda easy to come by. It's a quat spray, I'm under the impression it's good for sanitizing.clorox wipes I've been able to get.and off brand disinfectant wipes. There's a black market for this stuff now and got a 70% iso that way too. Foaf. Scored off brand and actual Lysol at Walmart last night. Ozium is about the easiest thing to find, that stuff is everywhere

I've been fortunate to be able to get antibacterial sprays since all this started, and FINALLY last week I was able to get the Seventh Generation wipes at Whole Foods that I regularly bought for a while. Shop Rite also recently stocked a brand of antibacterial hands wipes (smaller sheets than other brands I've used) that I never saw before. There were two or so shelves STACKED with them. I didn't know if I'd ever see wipes again.
Tip on preserving wipes: tear the sheets in half or whatever size if you don't need to use the whole thing.

I bought three bottles of hydrogen peroxide to make my own disinfectant sprays, but I saw various opinions on using them, so I haven't bothered to make any, yet anyway.

I only use that stuff to extract gold from computer parts along with muriatic acid and also sometimes to brush my teeth with every now and then.
They've proven hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl rubbing alcohol actually hinders cuts and scrapes from healing, so I stopped using it for that years ago.

I heard about that recently from a video posted on YouTube about hydrogen peroxide not being good for cuts. Another thing with different opinions on it.

Soap and water to wash the wound, and some neosporin and a band-aid.

Before everything shut down I bought a 5 gallons of concentrated sodium hypochlorite from a pool supply store. So I make my own most bottles of bleach solution, easy peasy and works about 100 times faster than most other disinfectants.

Don't buy that too often or you might get on a flagged watchlist
