I think horse meat is somewhat popular in Quebec.

I saw/heard on one of Anthony Bourdain's episodes that moose meat is supposedly incredible

There is a place near here that does alligator tacos.
I'm not a huge seafood/fish person honestly. I've literally eaten tuna that has been on the other end of my reel just an hour before, I just do not enjoy 90% of what I've tried. I'll eat it if I have to, because I'm really truly not a picky person, but I just don't really enjoy it.
Honestly it seems like they fry it and like it's super greasy. Maybe I'll give it a try one of these days, but is there anyway to cook alligator other than just deep frying it? I feel like that's all I see.

Well I never actually swallowed, so no.
But I've never had horse, or moose.
But I damn sure have probably had cat and dog and prolly horse as many backwoods restaurants as I've gone too.

Just made a quick run to the store...picked up some *talenti gelato: caramel cookie crunch
~~ $7 marked down to $2.78
So good. Plus, they make for good containers/ jars for growing fungi.

Where do you live? I'll bet they serve alligator in more variation where gator is native.

Gator has a very firm texture and a pure white meat if it's from the tail. There's also dark gator meat from the body.
If I lived where I could hunt them I'd pay the $50 per kill tag for gators for sure.

I live in Southeastern PA - but right now I'm at my folks in the middle of nowhere. Closest point of reference is Scranton PA, and that's still an hour away.
......so I should probably pass on that
