all the pics on this page look delicious, dosnt help I feel absolutely starved this evening, M,W,F are fasting days for me, usually it aint no thang but a chicken wang, but somethings up tonight, I could eat a horse, I made a decaf coffee to try and dull the hunger, its not the caffeine that suppresses the appetite, thats a common misconception, in a study done, coffee and decaf both suppressed appetite better than water with caffeine added

Speaking of horse, would you try it? If you were in Italy or somewhere where it's accepted?

Someone once told me that Taco Bell cut their beef with horse meat and other products
Never cared enough to look into it. I vaguely recall reading some Japanese folklore that involved eating horse meat, it was considered extra taboo.

when I was like 10, the rumour was that tacobell had cockroach eggs in the meat, I remember when I was around that age like 4 of us would go in and order 1 coke and refill it like a bunch of times each, I think it was the only place that had the fountain on the outside of the counter where I was back then

I used 1Q water 1/4c salt 1/4 cider vinegar, 1/8 cup brown sugar, habenero powder, paprika, black pepper, Orange and lemon peel. Soak 1-2 pounds of wings and in this mix for at least 4 but no more than 18 to 24 hours.
Dry wings with a towel then put my cajun seasoning on one side and habenero & shallot salt and black pepper on the other.
Roast on grill till crispy.
Tossed in sauce made of 2-4 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/2-1 cup Louisiana hot sauce preferably something made in Louisiana by a Louisianan. And I grated 3 garlic cloves into it. Boil and reduce, simmer duration of wing roast.

Toss hot wings in hot sauce. Serve immediately.

Those look great, Bod!
I'm not a big fan of seasoning wet brines, I think it's a waste of spices. The spices just don't penetrate the skin in my opinion. If I want to get in some flavor I'll do a dry brine, but I don't think wings respond well to dry brines. Dry brines are the way to go steaks and pork though.
Either way, you do you. The wings look smoking!

They were definitely better than all the wings I've got this week by a fucking long shot.
@chris
I think the same but figure the oils from habenero, paprika, and black pepper might be somewhat helpful also I have them in abundance and they're pretty cheap even from a spice house in bulk. Same for the citrus

Also when i dump the brine ill slather some of that seasoning back on the wings. My mom wears a hazmat suit to make shake and bake abomination with a vacuum packed boneless skinless chicken breast. Then bleaches her entire kitchen like a crime scene. I'm pretty sure using the seasoning from the "raw chicken brine" would have her head explode.
Anyone know some chicken weirdos?

Yeah, I mean I try to be careful around chicken but I'm not too crazy about it. I've never cleaned much of anything with bleach. Soap and water, some paper towels, then follow up with more soap and water. Then I'm done. Anything that goes into the smoker, fryer, oven, grill is what it is. I don't care what's on it. I do worry about the smoker a bit as generally I run it 200 degrees, maybe 250 max, but they say the smoke takes care of it. Who knows? I've never gotten sick, so...
