I'm still trying to get rid of my covid stash of food, so I'm working on a sad, flavorless bag of frozen tilapia filets
I put a filet in the air fryer and then lightly toasted some marble rye and made my own filet-o-fish sandwich

now i'm watching world's dumbest on tru tv

Duck in an air fryer would be an absolute mess. Quote:

They have an immense amount of fat, this is why in traditional methods you generally do a sugar water parboil and then let the duck drip for several days. In an air fryer, where the duck would be contained in a very small cooking area, the fat would be spitting and spattering everywhere. In North American methods, you would just roast the duck, using a tray and pan to allow the fat to render beneath the duck. The air fryer I don't imagine would accommodate a roasting style method as a result.
Even when you spend a lot of time rendering the fat and reducing the fat content down, ducks still tend to spit and spatter when you are crisping it. I generally finish ducks either an open fire or in my earth oven simply to avoid the mess in my oven.

I've never banged a pigeon inside a chicken, inside a duck, inside a turkey, inside an ostrich. How is it?

@ Niffla that does look amazing.
@ Christopera
I've only had duck/chicken and duck/turkey. It was good. And very rich in protein.

Ha, well sure...that's ideal for a duck, but we're not talking about a 4 star duck here. There are plenty of air fryer duck recipes out there, and they all look pretty succulent.
