Anybody fruited in extremely high temps?
I’m talking 85+.
The two tubs I’ve got fruiting now are starting to worry me, I think they might’ve aborted.
I ran a few in similar temps last month but it was still dropping to the low 70s at night, the last few days here the rooms been consistently 80-88 24 hours a day.
It seems like that should be fine considering cubes grow in places getting way hotter.
I couldn’t find much about this the only thing was one tc saying fruiting up to 100 is no problem as long as they have enough air.
I’ve been thinking about putting the shoeboxes into another shoebox or sweater box with cold water in it.
A whole tub aborting seems unlikely so I hope I’m wrong but it’ll be a few days still until I can get the ac situation sorted out for the grow room.

Hot shrooms. 95+ the problem is keeping the humidity up. Otherwise they dry and get heat stressed.

Hi temps are fine if you don't let them dry out. In New York high temps = high humidity, so I've never had to worry about that. Especially with an indoor grow.

In my experience, hot fruiting grows larger fruits. Anyone else notice this?
As mentioned, keeping humidity up is the toughest part.

I went from 95 percent humidity and 70.5 degrees temp to putting a small heating pad on the top of my sgfc and it raised temp to 77 with no disruption in RH. Yes they grew larger. I'm sold on it

Alright cool.
They’re holding surface conditions fine so maybe I’m just worried over nothing.
Both shoeboxes are ones I’ve never done before, ufo and Amazonian. Ufo is weird as fuck anyway so I’m not sure what to make of it.
The Amazonian hopefully just has a specific pheno, but something about it makes me think of aborts.

It’s the chocolate chip shaped caps. I’ve also never had one that pulled so much myc up with them. There’s definitely gonna be a few with myc patches on the caps like I’ve seen in pictures a few times.

So happy to come across this as I haven't found much on here as far as higher temps during fruiting.
I'm currently in a closet right now and have 4 shoeboxes going at the moment. Iv been pretty concerned about my temps during the hotter parts of the days, considering i live in the Desert.
But I'm pretty confident on my closet temps after having read through here (temps are reaching 81-83 degrees for about 3 hours every day, then temps will drop to normal 77 degrees). Actually never thought my grain jars would even colonize haha, so pretty glad I made it this far.
Thanks Aka, Iv come across a lot of your posts lately that have been super helpful.
