Need help identifying please are they cubensis??? Was working out at my ranch today after good rainfall and found these. Took as many pictures as I could but my grandpa was with me and I didn't want him seeing me snooping around the grass and cow shit for shrooms lol
Habitat: Found these growing in my pasture, in the shade of a mesquite tree, growing straight off the cow poo
Gills: Tan/light brown/ blackish
Stem: Pretty thin
Caps: some have spherical and some have conical
Spore print color: seemed like they all had black spotes
Bruising: Couldn't tell any bruising but I didn't have time to see
I hope these pics are good enough

No Cubensis. Panaeolus and perhaps a nonactive relative of stropharia. The pans may be worth something, but I cannot guarantee anything.

The pans are good & potent! I've always called them copes! Leave the little brown ones alone. The gray tinted ones are the good ones! Peace

I Agree, There Are Some Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens In There, But I'd Like To See Pictures Of The Bluish Bruising Reaction To Confirm.

Leave the brown mushrooms alone from the first two photos! The others are pan/copes!

I agree here. I see panaeolus for sure, possibly papilionaceus, but I dont see panaeolus cyanescens in these pics. Theres 0 signs of blueing and macroscopically they dont look like p. Cyanescens I've picked or that I've seen posted in all the years I've been here.

From my opinion, the first 2 photos & the 7th are non active, but all others are. We will let some of the most knowledgeable have the final word.

I Found A Specimen Of Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens This Morning That I Think Resembles The Mushrooms In Pics #12, 16, & 17. It Is Possible He Took The Pics Right After He Picked Them, & They Just Hadn't Bruised Yet.
It Is Also Possible They Are A Non Active Pan. Sp That's Why I'd Like To See Pics Of The Bruising If Any.

I agree with you and I'm not saying they absolutely 100% are not cyans, but like you I just need to see the proof. If the evidence gets provided I will absolutely change my opinion. I am not a professional so my identifications are always opinion lol

They are all nonactive Panaeolus species, Something in the Panaeolus papillionaceus group.

Ok so I went out today again. I found a lot of mushrooms same as the other day. Unfortunately no cubes. But I found a lot of the Pans. Similar to the ones I originally posted. I took a lot of pictures of them growing/right after picking/and about 1 hour later to see bruising.
I also found some other musgrooms I don't believe to be active but now I'm just curious on what all growing on my land is anything edible/medicinal/active? I will post these pictures last.
Here are pics of the Pans.

Here you can really see the red bruising does this mean they are not Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens?

So just for future reference if I find any similar to these that bruise blue instead of red that would mean they could be Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens? I looked up pictures and they are very similar.
Now here are some pics of what I think are different. So if anyone can tell me anything if these are medicinal and or edible or active? Any info would be awesome

5 These do look kinda similar to the Pans. But they were much bigger and thicker stem and I didnt see any red bruising.

Ok thats all I got thankyou to all

"pans": panaeolus papilionaceus 1: agaricus sp. 2: lepiotoid 3: agaricus sp. 4: agrocybe pediades 5: panaeolus antillarum
Panaeolus cyanescens looks near identical to panaeolus antillarum but bruise blue. Not red. Those agaricus species might be edible.
