Hello guys. This is my very first attempt and apparently my first flush. 12q unmodified tek. Mazatapec with 50/50 bucket tek. Brf cakes shredded to bulk. Anyway woke up today and this large cluster has just two caps started to open (veil break) My question is this. As I’m completely new to this I’m unsure to whether I should harvest the lot or pull the big cluster and wait a day more or two? Please advise!
Thanks in advance.

You can go ahead and harvest any mature ones if you want. Or you can leave them until the rest are done growing if you want to, but they'll probably start dumping spores. If it were me, I'd probably just go ahead and harvest those.
Nice first grow

Yeah just cut them as they’re ready.
Most of those still have some growing to do.

Great thanks for the advice. I’ll pull em as they mature. 👍🏻🍄

Don't pull or twist them out!! Instead cut them at the base with scissors or a very sharp knife. You want to disrupt the mycelium around them as little as possible. The more you mess with the mycelium in the substrate, the more potential for aborts. You will probably get some aborts as you harvest anyway; mainly smaller ones. They tend to stop growing and start to bend over a little, then the caps get dark. They are good to eat. Just cut them off before they get slimy.

Oops too late man, I literally just did the twist and pull method as it was so difficult to cut with the angles and such. I’ll try next time to cut. Thanks
