DIY Homemade Fogger

I came across a link through Google, was wondering if anyone is familiar with this for humidity purposes inside a tent/jako/Martha.
Super simple and cheap. 5 gallon bucket, computer fan mounted on lid, hose, water, and the agitator device to produce the mist. I would add a relay if it were mine as well. It produces what looked to be a HEAVY amount of mist. Anyone familiar with this setup? I loved the simplicity and ingenuity of it, but I was concerned the amount of fog produce would be overkill on Pan Cyans. I worried the heavy distribution would be pretty much the same as misting with a bottle, and even with a bathroom vent fan pulling it down and out, I questioned it.

I've not really heard of it before I don't believe. Although it's not necessary IMO.
Edit: fuck, I just realized you're talking about using it for Pans, not Cubes. I take back my statement that it's not necessary. I'm not sure, because I have no experience with Pans lol. I'll leave my original comment so people know not to be a dumbass reader like me

Asura's tek is my blueprint for upcoming Pan grow as soon as I get spores in. I set up tge Jako from Jakeoncid419's grow.it's the same concept, just cheaper and simpler materials. I may post it on here because I havent seen it, and I've looked through just about every Pan grow lol

This is the exact one I believe that was used in the bucket setup. Looks the same.

I think a home made fogger vs a humidifier could be better for pans .
You could rig a speed controller to your fan and control the amount of air flow vs water content .
Pans love FAE .
My current set up is a Jartha* style tent and I added two 140mm fans on my exhaust circuit .
Cubensis love this setup - it’s fully automated and you really only have to monitor the settings and add water .
With pans and this set up , I still have to open the tent 3-4 times a day to air it out .
I will be building my own humidifier next week - and will post results within a month.
You really only need 1 disc for one tent .
I will be using the 3 disc fogger as I plan on running two tents - one for pans one for cubes .

As far as air flow is concerned, I will be installing a bathroom ventilation fan at the bottom part of my Martha/Jako setup, attached to a relay with the fogger, so it will pull the fog downward from the top of the tent, onto the pans, and cycled out. I'll have a fan or 2 in the room to circulate, but if I feel that it isn't sufficient, I would install a second bathroom fan possibly?. My goal is to not have to manually fan whatsoever. Hands free. It seems to have worked wonders for Asura and Jakeoncid419. Their methods and grows are the blueprint for my operation. I only hope to at least have 50% of the success/being as efficient. I agree with you, I believe this homemade setup would work very well with them, and help people save some cash.
I'm gonna go check out what's going on over on your page 👍

I have; bathroom exhaust (on relay) , 2 humidifiers venting to the bottom and top of tent , Heater , ink birds for temperature and humidity , internal and external fans , 4” filtered intake , and 3 spectrums of lights (probably not needed haha) .
I followed Asura, Jake ,blue helix , Jcm , and Mary fair child .
I Pulled a very good yield last try 40g dry off 2 12x8 trays , after 2 failures .
Pan cyans aren’t hands free .
These guys are getting results doing pans and I’m fairly certain they are watering daily as well as adjusting things near daily .
Here’s my current pride and joy ;

Exhaust fan clears out stale air - helps fae - with a diy fogger dialed right my theory is you would be adding more fresh air coming in because of a fan on a controller , which would need more fog to keep up .
There aren’t any pan cyan grows that are hands free as far as I’ve seen.
I’m no pro or even mediocre but I’m following teks , thinking and experimenting .
I think asura uses a diy fogger if so he’d know best . I was just trying to answer your question as to the concern about too much fog .
A single disc fogger is all you need for a 4 tier tent.
You can also adjust humidity/ over wetness by changing the differential value on your ink bird .
I use a differential of 3 when pinning - this causes the humidifier to stop trying to maintain an exact level of humidity .
With fruits I lower it to 1.5 , this is less range for humidity to fluctuate . I’ve noticed the fruits demand more water but with the cyans I had to open the tent - water on caps kills . I pulled it off without watering - 2 flushes .
This is my goal is to have my tent dialed - not water my pans by hand , not open the tent to air out .
Your set up will vary - as different environments change - as do seasons .
Here’s my set up - will be adding a diy 1 disc when I get back in town next week.
Currently fruiting galindoi , Pan cyan and cubes
Good luck to you man!

Yea dude .
I hope to see your canopy in the cyan thread soon.
There’s a lot of people trying different things - and some of the experienced members checking genetics under scopes .
I’m really hoping that soon there will be a tek nailed down for cyans - that’s as easy going as the cube teks are .
