So I have a tub of brf/verm. It's colonizing well, will it fruit?

Recently I aquired an all in one bag that contained rye berry grains, and a cake of verm/brf at the top of the bag to break up and mix into the grain spawn once it's colonized, and that's what I did. All went well but I couldn't get the bag to cake bag up, it just kept chucking itself into globs and didn't maintain a cake form for a fruiting chamber. My question now is since I cut the bag open and dumped it into a 6qt tub, if it colonized well would it fruit? Do I need to case it? What is the best method now that I basically have a damn tub of this stuff. 2 6qt tubs to be exact... Anyways has anyone experienced anything close to pf tubs?is there any advice the community could give me that would be viable? Or is this only good to mix into another sub and bulk it. The problem is that I don't have any more substrate, or really room for more tubs due to a few already in the works. Just help me out guys.

If it colonises it’s has potential to fruit. I have some brf cakes (fully colonised) then shredded them to 50/50 vermiculite coir and it works nice.
If I were you I would start a new batch of cakes in jars and if your tubs fail you’ll be pretty much ready to go again. I am a noob although. Good luck.

Was it 100% colonized before you opened it?

I’m not sure if I’m reading this right but you had grain spawn mixed into substrate that was verm/brf? Was the brf sterilized? Substrate is generally coir or coir with verm because they have little to no nutrition and won’t host a bunch of nasties. Brf is very nutritious (thus why PF Tek cakes need sterilization) and should never be used as substrate.

It was a all in one bag with grain spawn at the bottom and a big fat patty of brf on top, I thought it was weird too because untill now I have only heard of the PF tek needing brf. But I figured why not give it a go. And I let it sit for about 5 and a half weeks total. When I cut the bag open it looked as if it was a cake but when I pushed it out of the bag it just imploded on itself. The outside of the 'cake' looked nice and colonized but I think I jumped the gun too soon. I will post a pic of it here and see how it goes
