Should I give it a quick rinse under the faucet right now?

IMO, PF Tek is a really good method for just getting fruits when you consider how little effort goes into it and how little experience is needed to do it successfully.

That is the route I am going to go on my next venture, should I rinse my cake(s) off with the faucet and remove any uncolonized grain?

The fact that you don’t NEED a PC is likely the main draw for most people who choose the PF tek.

Cuz what the fuck do they know?
You can use one. It’s not required. They all bought instant pots for each other.

Correct. A steamer pot is all that is required. I use a tamale steamer and I love it. Its perfect.

a PC is a lot quicker though right? like half the time from what i remember. 45 min instead of 90.
And to thrill kill as an FYI. Spore prints and syringes are basically never 100% clean. The mushrooms that gave those spores were growing in open air with other contaminant spores around and so when you shoot a spore syringe to grains you are likely going to have some issues.
For whatever reason the BRF cakes seem to handle the bacteria that's often in syringes pretty well, grains not so much. If you wanna grow with grains you need to germinate your spores on agar and then transfer clean mycelium to the grains.
