Hi, I've recently went out with a friend of mine, after raining, and we've found mushrooms such as this one and we've been wondering if it's magic or not, it grew out of the soil, in the city, around some green areas of the neighborhood, the pics I took were with the fleshlight turned on but you can see it without a problem in the pictures I took today with it dried, I kept it in case it is good for anything )
I appeared to be bruised blue at mycelium at the bottom, it's easily seen in the pic when the shroom was fresh, it had a smell similar to flour, very strong on the nose, shroomy flour if you will, in terms of size in between 1.5 to 2.5 cm

The jet black spore print and the pattern of the gills / growth seems to say Panaeolus. The lawn they came from may have been fertilized with a processed kind of animal excrement which mushrooms like. I don't see the bluing you refer to and the stems bruise brownish to black like pans do. I don't think they are very if at all magic, but I could be wrong.

Could Be Panaeolus Cinctulus, But Probably Is A Non Active Panaeolus Sp.
Pan. Cincts Are Weakly Active & You Need Alot Of Them To "Trip". You Would Be Better Off Hunting One Of The Panaeolus Sp In The (Copelandia) Group, They Are Highly Active.
Also, There Are No Known Poisonous Sp Of Panaeolus.

You can consider this the mushroom formerly known as Panaeolus Cinctulus.

Out of curiosity, can you elaborate on this?

Sure, at one time the active panaeolus found in lawns was considered to be cinctulus. There’s been a paradigm shift and now it’s a nameless lawn panaeolus when found but it’s still easier to use the old terminology so it’s therefore the former mushroom known as cinctulus.

Thanks, friend! I find a lot of Panaeolus in the lawns I mow and have been lurking and studying intently on the finds posted on the shroomery/ work that is being done by Alan, Doc, etc. Specifically Cinctulus for one reason or the other
