Hey I've been reading through the thread and thank you to everyone who's written anything on this post, there is a mountain of gold on these pages. How far is everyone keeping their grow lights, for the ones using grow lights and not being able to use the sun. I've got a 300w multi spectrum led going about 3 feet away from seedlings and running it on a 12/12 schedule with the fan going the whole time. Also someone posted that to keep some air circulating with the outside to stop bugs from coming in but the downside is outside the grow tent it is a very dry environment. A friend mentioned that just having air circulating inside helped to stop the bugs when he was growing the more green and legal plant but obviously I'm interested to hear what you all think. Thanks in advance.

Does anybody know what the lower temperature limit is for Novo? My plants are looking terrible inside and I want them outside ASAP. Lower temps here have been in the 40’s, next week low temps in the 50’s. I’m thinking about putting them out next week because keeping them inside any longer is detrimental.

Jizz, how warm is it getting during the day time? You could move them out for the day and back in at night if you are worried.

Its reported that plants less than 18 months can have deadly sensitivities in the 50-65° F temp range.

The highs here have been around 75. They are in big pots and I only wanted to move them once, but I expect I’ll move them back and forth for a week or two. They really need some rain and sun ASAP.

What’s it actually like growing coca? I hear it’s a tough one comparatively. Anyone end up with any results?
I’ve always heard it required a high altitude but I really don’t know much about this plant

Mine are 5 years old now, i did have 4 years of leaves saved and frozen but after a paranoid freak out last year when i was working perma nights and didnt sleep proper for like 4 months and was suffering massive anxiety panic attacks paranoia etc i threw thrm all away i hate myself for it i had near a kilo.

sorry to hear. Btw I’ve always seen those anti-drug docus that show people processing coca, seems like a decent amount of work. is it easy once you have the materials? Just curious really. I have no idea of yield or any of that, Never got too into coca but would def like to try chewing some leaves or one of those teas just to try

Yeah its just dry the leaves and crumble or blend them wet ive seen it both ways then you need to pull all the alkaloids from the leaves ammonia and none polar works ok NaOH is a bit too strong and can destroy some of it and just leave it a few days to extract stirring every now and then. Then filter off the leafs, save them just incase something didnt work or do a few more pulls, then none polar to acidic water shake the shit outta it maybe again leave it for a while to extract out. Then all the full spectrum is in the acid layer again save the none polar more pull or if some went wrong then you add pot permanganate it wont hurt the coke just all the unwanted shit it oxidizes then id mix it with iso to use up any remaining permang not necessary tbh. Then base extract into none polar few pulls then reacidify with hcl bubbler or drop wise mixed with acetone and itll precipitate coke hcl, thats off the top of my head i cant remember if i missed a step but i think its that. They use shit like kerosene but any will do toluene is my chosen none polar for most stuff, they use slaked lime sometimes instead of ammonia which will work just aswell and probably cheaper not sure on prices. I did it years back then talked Typewritermonkey through the process and he said he had success with it aswell.
If at the end you have nothing all the shit you didnt trow away you can try again with as you might have missed a step or something thats why its best not to bin it till you got product, have to have a good amount of leaves to make it worth it like at least half a kg dry leaves.

My E. coca stick is showing signs of life again, albeit painfully slow. It had been leafless for at least a few months. I think it took this long to recover because it got attacked by spider mites before loosing all of its leaves. I can't seem to get this pest under control and it always reappears after a while..

The young E. coca plants are still doing fine. One of them will be put together with the older plants shortly, since it has almost outgrown the little greenhouse. Maybe I'll give it a larger pot as well. I should also probably separate the plants that are growing with two or three together in a small pot..

Mines been abput 2 months but theyve not been under good light just shitty uk weather, theyre under a grow lamp now. I cut a bit of bark off and under its green and white and moist not dead under the bark so i think its fine. I may buy a new batch when my guy opens shop in fall. He only sells seedlings in testtubes because he was sick of people complaining his seeds are shit so he grows them out himself to seedling size puts it in a plast tube with a bit of growing medium.

I have had coca plants looking dead like mrmazdarx9 and Poison Drinks plants above. I threw them away. I realize i should have given them more time and they might have come back from the dead. Its all in the past now but it annoys me that they might have been saved. At least i know this now for future situations.

This one's taking it's time as well to bounce back.

The young E. coca plants are doing great. They're still in a mini greenhouse since the older Erythroxylum spp. plants are battling spider mites which I can't seem to get rid of. I tried pyrethrins and insecticidal soap to no avail. The young plants are unaffected so I don't want to place them together. Did anyone successfully exterminate spider mites before?

Hi, I’m pretty new here. I’ve a had a novo plant for around 7 months, and I just noticed it has flower buds! How likely am I to get fruit? From what I’ve heard young plants which flower usually won’t produce berries.
