Habitat: North Georgia in pinestraw around bermuda grass and pine trees and sweetgums near some wild BlackBerry's too
Gills: Purpleish colored gills currently taking spore print
Stem: Thick stem almost fibrous or sponge center of stem
Cap: Brownish cap with purple staining near edge of cap
Spore print color: Very important! Currently in the process of being taken will update
Bruising: Brown with a little bit of Purpleish maybe brushing
Other information: Scent of the mushroom smelled almost like shitake or button mushrooms smelled edible but not taking any risks.

I also made sure to watch it grow for the week and taped the cap to spread some spores it started with such a tint cap and huge stem was fun to watch grow on my hunts for blackberries.

I'm not sure on the species, ots pretty beat up. Tapping the cap is not all that useful, by the time you found it it has probably released millions of spores. That's an old hippy shroomer tale that tapping the cap releases the spores....doesnt work that way dude lol
