Hello all! This is my first post so my apologies if the format is off or anything. I planted a garden 50/50 soil and organic manure and looky! I want to be sure. I have minimal knowledge but after weeks of research and a positive ID from a friend familiar with mycology. I figured I'd ask for some help. Thanks in advance Max size is 2in., idk if any got to full size due to rain though Spore print was a DEEP purple Gills-some were curvy and cream colored, more mature ones had a purplish black hue. Stems are slightly curved/winding off white fresh, slightly darker when dried. Top is "nipple" shaped wet to the touch and very fragile. Easily scratched/torn. Seems to gray over time, almost translucent. I live in North Carolina, it's been raining for the past 2 weeks more on than off. The box is in my backyard surrounded by trees at the bottom of a downslope. VERY humid but not terribly hot out lately. Seems like liberty caps to me... let me know your thoughts!
Hope I did this properly Thanks again! --L http://

They are almost fully grown yes. Dont ever be afraid to respectfully challenge anyones opinion here because you dont know what you dont know...right? Liberty caps can only be found in a few difinate places, North Carolina isnt one of those places though. Keep asking questions and keep learning!
