Plus I find the fruits to be the strongest of the stone producers, about 3× the potency of cubes. Also those cakes are looking good to me!

I fruit for spores alone with BRF. I wasn't agreeing with him about anything else pal.

We all have our opinions, I grow sclerotia on rye grain and spawn to bulk for fruits. but when I'm just after new spore I use BRF and don't really care about the fruits, for me its a waste and for others I don't know why it isn't looked at as such. You could go from bulk rye grain 2 month aged you'd get stones, then to spawn where you get both fruits, spores, and stones. I really love what RiverBum has done with BRF I Just think its a waste of time.

OP should throw out his colonizing cakes and start fresh with your guidance and tutelage.

I don't think he should toss em, fruit them, get spore start on agar. drop it onto rye grain.

So you just let them colonize and consolidate completely then open the lids and put them in a FC?

You should birth, clean off the dry verm barrier, dunk to rehydrate, return to jars, apply a thin casing layer, and introduce fruiting conditions.
It’s all in the link posted earlier.

Yeah, I don’t know. The OP mentions understanding the need for a 7 day consolidation period post 100% colonization. OP is in the best position to determine that timing.

No they are not ready yet. I'd say they have another few weeks. What do you guys think?
