The mycology community must give All American so much business

The mycology community must give All American so much business. I wonder what percentage of their sales are from mushroom growers and even those interested in tissue culture and microbiology.

An excellent question :strokebeard:

Ive always wondered how many people who buy AA Pressure Cookers actually use it for food. :strokebeard:

It's a drop in the pressure cooker. Way more people eat pressure cooked foods than grow mushrooms, it's not even close.

I dunno man, do people even use pressure cookers to cook food? I thought that was like a outdated practice.....in all my years, Ive never been to someones house where they used a PC for cooking a meal.

Not as much as presto. Presto got so much business for home mycologists that
they had to put a warning on their new models that specifically says not for mushroom cultivation

Home canning nuts would be the biggest group I think. A lot of stuff is not safe to can by hot water bath. I guess home canners would all count as preppers in the broadest sense.

Educational institutions will sometimes have the plug in autoclaves.

I know its not what you're saying but, home canning is a very efficient way to store large amounts of food outside a freezer, independent of maintenence electricity. If you have a fairly large veggie garden for instance, its great.

Yeah this is the main reason I got one. Hoping to can a lot of tomatoes this year. Interested in using it for mycology too but I have not got organized with that.

Imagine..

10x10 jars square.
a sturdy wooden board on top.
10x10 jars square.
a sturdy wooden board on top.

This 10x and you have extremely compactly stored 1000 pints or quarts of food on a very small floorspace.
