Any sport fanatics around here? What is your preference? I can't wait until we get back to normal from the outbreak. SO bummed about the NBA season, The Masters, and if NFL is shut down that will push me off the edge!

I used to watch NFL back in the day, not so much anymore (too many other interests).
I also used to play Soccer and Tennis. I love those sports. I gotta get back into them

NFL is by far my top choice. I grew up playing my whole life. Football is a legit passion of mine. I hate what has happened to the League though. Politics and Rules/Refs are hurting it bad.
I love to play tennis. Table tennis as well! Golfing is something I picked up over the ladt few years. Very enjoyable.

I really wanted to go to Detroit Tigers game this summer, I've never been to a professional sporting event
Also, the golf course is where masculinity goes to die lol

I thought it was cool that some of the F1 drivers started an e-sports side-gig to tide them over, early in lockdown.
Sure, it's not the same as the real deal, but in the future there are going to be more options for broadcasting sports. It's going to be cool to see how that rolls out.

Thatd be fucking sweet!
Theres a game out now called 2019 F1. Its very realistic. With a $2000 simulator pedal/wheel set up for all the racers and some high speed internet, i bet it would make for some cool e-Sport racing. Id watch it for sure.
Im currently playing Forza7. Man, those guys are good. Im fighting just to stay in 9th or 10th! Its some serious racing even thou its just a video game. Its pretty wild.

Yup, think that's exactly what they did.
I have a racing wheel but don't play as often as I'd like. Haven't tried Forza7 but I sometimes do Assetto Corsa. Fun stuff.

The NBA is coming back
Albeit it's going to be bizarrely different. No fans. The 22 teams with the best records at the time of the shutdown will play for the championship. And I think they're sending all 22 teams to one single location or something like that?
The NFL looks to intent on moving forward with a season but I'm sure it will be without fans (or with minimal fans).

I'm not really a big sports person unless you count showjumping.
I don't think they're having showjumping competitions right now though
Maybe without spectators in Europe.

I am familiar with cornhole, I would totally watch a world cornhole championship tbh.
That's funny though.
I expect football will go off as planned..just without spectators . Gonna have to find yourself a good watch party or something for then - even if it's just virtually

They should at least let them get drunk while they play
Would watch

Going to be really weird. I heard they were talking about implementing fake crowd noise and using video of fans from previous years to compensate for the empty stadium

by the way pirate what are your thoughts on this showjumping prospect

A little raw and rough around the edges right now but the potential for stardom is there

I've been trampled and fallen more times than I can count . I actually lost a friend as a teenager due to a really gnarly jumping accident. It's much better to fall forward like this and get thrown clear - you get thrown clear, wear a helmet, and hope you land okay. If you fall backwards your head gets caught up underneath the horses legs and bad things happen.
I was thinking about taking some riding lessons again actually lol. Idk how brave I am these days, and don't know if I would even jump again ever. I probably don't bounce as well as I used to when hitting the ground. When you're a kid you're pretty much made of rubber.

Sheesh, blues. That's terrible. Yeah I'd imagine that it's very dangerous. Those horses can weight anywhere from a thousand to even two thousand pounds.

eh, it was a wonderful past time at the same time . But yeah, the brand of showjumping I used to do is actually called three day eventing, and the cross country portion is extremely dangerous for everyone involved. I know that there have been some reforms over the years, and I'm out of the know now, but overall there's a bit of controversy there.

I'd be happy if I could just kind of a trail ride right now though tbh. Being out in nature, with animals, in the fresh air and sunshine, I love it.
