question o coprophilic mushrooms? is the affinity based on enzymes / gut bacteria?

What makes coprophiles like cubes coprophiles?
Some reliance or affinity on gut bacteria from Quadralupe or some utility of some special enzyme that intestinal bacteria produce?

There is a reason they are coprophiles but it has not been elaborated upon with sufficient specificity to use knowledge of that specific aspect [regarding the nature of coprophilia in dikaryotes, in this case the basidiomycetes, psilocybin cubensis] in other contexts...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saprotrophic_nutrition

This article about saproptropic nutrition answers the question though: they rely on decaying organic matter, so of course it is not some symbiotic relationship with a living organism like some gut bacteria... the gut bacteria are themselves saprotrophic.

But the article relates:

"As matter decomposes within a medium in which a saprotroph is residing, the saprotroph breaks such matter down into its composites.

*Proteins are broken down into their amino acid composites through the breaking of peptide bonds by proteases.[3]
*Lipids are broken down into fatty acids and glycerol by lipases.[3]
*Starch is broken down into pieces of simple disaccharides by amylases.[3]
*Cellulose, a major portion of plant cells, and therefore a major constituent of decaying matter is broken down into glucose
"

So it mentions that saprotrophes break down starch although its been toted here that cubes don't like starch, it mustbe part of their natural diet. But, how much starch is in manure anyway?

I wonder what the protein/lipid/starch/cellulose ratio is in poo? Or what their composite profile is... I'm sure one could build up some recipe and use it as a liquid medium to add nutrients to straight verm as the spawn medium, but with all nutes in a solution in which it is soaked?

*rambles on confusedly*
