Habitat: Damp wood chips in shady area mixed with grass and with an unknown tree overhead. The tree drops what looks like pine needles. Tree shown in the habitat pic
Gills: Light brown beige - darker brown on the older specimens
Stem: Ranging from 2-4cm in length, 2-5mm diameter. Stem is firm and hollow in the center. Colour is whitish grey bruising very dark either black or blue.
Cap: 1-4cm diameter, some are lighter beige and some caramel brown. Seem to be getting lighter in patches as i sit writing this. Convex with a raised area in the middle. all show dark black/blue around the rim of the cap and where touched the gills have bruised black/blue.
Spore print color: Not yet printed, will do tonight
Bruising: Bluish black/very dark blue within 5 mins of being pinched
Other information: This is my first ever find, cautious about making sure i have what i think i do. Please feel free to advise if I have picked some too early as they seem smaller than a lot of the other ID's I have seen. Only picked about 25% of what was there as to not wreck the patch.

From what I'm able to see, you have Psilocybe subaeruginosa. However, it would help a lot if you could post pictures 2 and 4 in higher resolution.
Welcome to the Shroomery.

Thanks for the reply and the welcome!
These pics should be much bigger, i was woried about the 512kb pic size so made them way smaller in Photoshop.

Thanks for the confirmation! i was too excited trying to get the post up to read the size limit propery. WOuld have saved myself 15 mins and less messing around in Photoshop...
As requested, below is the big version of the habitat shot. Still unsure of the tree above. All of the musrooms had decayed needles around the stems, looked a lot like like spiders legs.

Still hard to make out from the pic, but the tree could be a Casuarina species based on your description of it leaving needles.
Next time you should get some close ups of the subs in the ground and post in the Vic thread.
