Zoo med reptile fogger opinions / humidifier modification 1

Hey guys ,
I was using an ultrasonic humidifier for about a year, coupled with an ink bird .
I’m going camping for 4 days so I built a 40qt reservoir for my humidifier .
When I attached it the pressure caused the plunger stop to depress and leaked tons of water immediately and it blew the seals on the tank - fried the humidifier .
The reptile fogger by zoo med looks like it can be modified due to the fact it has threads that a bottle can be screwed into.
I looked on here and found some bad reviews but I’m wondering if anyone else has had any luck .
I don’t really want to shell out the 120$ for a 3 disc house of hydro fogger if I can modify something myself for cheaper and the fact that a tent really only needs one disc to achieve proper humidity.
Any one have experience with the reptile fogger or modifying there humidifiers to have big reservoirs ?
Thanks

I am looking at using a reptile fogger myself for a Martha Tent project. Did you ever run with this idea?

From experience using for my reptiles replace the water chamber it comes with ditch it. A 2L bottle works with the threads and lasted me usually about 24-48 hours.
