Finally had a good rain yesterday and found some cubes (I think). But still being new I need some confirmation and help identifying species #2. I found plenty of the species #2 but have gotten mixed answers on what they could be or if they are active or not. Also interested in knowing what some of y’all’s processes are for drying these out before consuming? How long should they dry out for and how long will they be good after being stored? Do you consume just the caps or stems as well? Thanks in advance!
Species#1

Habitat: Pasture, growing in cow dung
Gills: Dark
Stem: 2-3 inches length, white, solid and thick
Cap: White and Gold, some with purple on edges
Spore print color: Purple/black
Bruising: Blue bruising on caps and stems
Species#2

Habitat: Pasture, growing in cow dung
Gills: Dark
Stem: 3-5 inches length, tan color, solid and thin
Cap: White with some dark spots, some bell shaped caps and a couple cone shaped
Spore print color: Black
Brushing: dark spots on caps and stems

Thanks! Do you dry your cubes before consuming or eat them wet?

I Always Dry Mushrooms 100% Cracker Dry Before Consumption & Then Make Tea With Them. You Can Use Fresh Or Dried Mushrooms In Tea Though, Doesn't Matter.
Most Of The Time, Fresh Mushrooms Have Bacteria On Them & Contain Bugs & Other Critters. Tea Will Take Care Of That.

Psilocybe cubensis for #1 Panaeolus papillionaceus for #2 unless you see some with obvious bluish bruising on the stem but they all look like papillionaceus to me
edit: I can see 2 Panaeolus (Copelandia) cyanescens

Thanks for the tip! Do you have to account for any potency loss when making tea or does 30g (fresh) hit the same wether you eat it or make tea with it?

The Experience Ranges From Person To Person, But With Me, Eating Them Produces A 5-6 Hr Trip, Come Up Starts Around The 1Hr Mark. Making Tea Produces A 3-4 Hr Trip, Come Up Starts Within 25-40 Mins.

I have experienced full on level 5++++ if there is such a thing in 5min from extremely potent tea, usually it is 20-45min depending whether or not I had eaten within 4-5 hrs of consumption. I prefer to make a tea because I can use koolaid, hot chocolate or whatever will over power that foul taste. Grape koolaid and blue rasberry are good flavors after icing it down. Hot chocolate really covers the taste, add as much as you need to make it better andit too can be iced. Choking down fresh fruit is not a good idea because of the eggs, larva. e. coli. parasites, get my drift? They taste horrible in my opinion.

I prefer tea as well, plus you can freeze the tea afterwards and it retains potency for at least a few months
