Ok, I few years back i ordered some hostilis seeds from PJT botanicals. They looked like watermelon seeds kinda. So that is what i thought was mimosa hostilis seeds. Recently i ordered some from a reputable vendor and they are so different. Maybe someone can clarify what is up. The left is the ones from the reputable vendor. the right side is the seeds i got in a trade , but they are just like the ones i ordered from pjt years ago. what do you think. ??

does the ones at the right measure about 1cm in length? if yes, they look like Acacia polyphylla seeds... i would say that if there's any Mimosa hostilis there it's on the left because the seeds ARE small...

don't know what the ones on the right are, but the ones on the left look like the seeds of some mimosa scabrella or hostillis or something like that.

The tree in Entheo's thread is what everyone commonly calls mimosa but it's actually Albizia. I've found seeds from albizia that look like the seeds picutred to the right, but really it still could be anything.

man i forgot about this thread. hehe. oooops. Well the guy that sent them said they are garuanteed hostilis from brazil. Not really sure what it might be. maybe ill just grow some and see when it flowers sometime. I know the ones on the left are hostilis. Maybe i can post a pic when i get it growing. see if anyone has any idea's then. I know its not albizia. i have those pink silk mimosa tree's all round here. thats all you see when they bloom. very different. these are big. they are about 3\8ths of an inch long.
