The effects of psychedelics on the imagination and dreams.

Hello.
I've yet to trip but a friend once told me that after he was introduced to LSD, the vividness of his visualisation/imagination increased dramatically and has remained that way. I have not heard of this before or since, so I would like to hear what your experiences are.
Did you find that after experiencing a particular psychedelic your visualisation/imagination became more vivid or was changed in another way? If you can tell - which psychedelic and what sort of dose was it?
I'm also interested in dreams and would like to know if any of you have experienced changes in your dreams after the use of a psychedelic. For example an increase in vividness or the frequency of lucidity, or perhaps more prophetic/telepathic dreams. Have you ever dreamed of tripping?

Mushrooms. IME Imagination improved. Dreams changed, experienced a few bizarre. Microdoses seems to affect dreams too.

No changes in dream frequency/vividness/types from psychedelic use (mushrooms exclusively). Except that I usually won't dream sleeping the night of a trip.
I've personally never had a dream of tripping or feeling like I'm tripping in the dream.
The only thing that changed my dream frequency/content was quitting weed almost a year ago. Since then I've had more vivid, as well as more frequent, dreams.
Edit:
And in regards to imagination, no change as well but I've always had a very active imagination (perhaps why I'm drawn to psychedelics)

Lucid dreams increased in frequency, with sufficient mushrooms I've had the experience of spending most of the night in a vivid dream state.
Yeah I've dreamed I was tripping, but usually I've dreamed I've consumed mushrooms (or something else) but then didn't trip, in the dream that is.

I've had some effect on the transition from sleeping to dreaming from mushrooms. Sometimes it can make it so that I can almost stay conscious during the transition.
After LSD, I generally find that my mind is clearer and it's easier to think for a while. But I meditate under the influence, so that might contribute. No impact on imagination or anything that I've noticed though.

I've noticed that my dreams have increased in frequency and detail both after my frequent tripping frenzy (a few dozen heavy trips over the course of a few months), though much of it happened gradually, after a pause of a year off tripping. Indeed, after almost a year, I've started to get the rare almost lucid dream moment a few times for the first time in my life.
Another interesting thing I've noticed is that, within the last month or so, colors and depth of pictures have taken on additional richness and clarity, similar to when I'm tripping. This had started to occur while sober when I had tripped several times and my depression broke (turns out the skies really do look bluer when you're having fun!), but its slowly been increasing to the point that some art looks nearly 3D with color almost as good as when tripping.
I can feel the psyches calling me back though...soon!
