Sorry, I don't click on downloads. Most others probably won't either. You can upload photos directly to the site.
If it's stalled and pinning before full colonization, it's likely because there's a bacterial contaminatiom concentrated in the uncolonized portion. As far as the mycelium is concerned, it's reached full colonization, and so it is pinning. Either that or it's just a dry spot. Either way, you should just birth it, gently wash off the uncolonized portion. Then, depending on how many pins there are, and how big they are, you'll either want to drink and roll or just skip that step and put it straight into a fruiting chamber.
I think the first thing you should probably do is upload a photo directly to the site and post it in the thread so we can take a look at it

Thank you so much. It took me a minute to figure out how to upload a picture but I think I succeeded!

I think that's just dry vermiculite that fell down the side because the cake shrank. I can't honestly tell you whether I'd choose to remove those fruits then dunk and roll as usual, or just put it straight into a fruiting chamber as is, or just dunk and no roll, or what. You'd probably get different recommendations from different growers. But whatever you choose, you're obviously getting mushrooms. I started with tubs and have never done a single cake. Maybe one of the experienced cake runners will chime in.
Yo, cake growers- where you at? How would you maximize this cake's yield at this point?

Thank you again. I really appreciate it! I have around 8 colonized jars and was actually hoping to break up and then move to an unmodified dub tub. I might dunk and roll this cake though and follow through with just the pf tek with this one.
Curious if you get a chance if you could tell me whether one of my other jars looks ok? I notice a somewhat yellow area which I am assuming is just metabolites as these jars are about 6 weeks old. The yellowish part is not spreading or getting any larger in area.

I didnt look either but sometimes if your coir starts drying out ontop the myc will fruit from beneath. I think of it as creating a casing layer for itself which makes a microclimate for pins to form. I see it a lot with my melmac
