Ok chances are that I will piss someone off by asking this question but I am new to this and figured I would give it a shot... I want to clear this up right away. I know that just because a mushroom bruises blue/green doesn’t mean that it has psychedelic properties. But can I completely rule out a gold cap (cubensis) if it does not display blue/green bruising??
Also, what has been your experience of these types of mushrooms NOT growing on dung? If it’s almost always on ding than I will not waste my time with grass fields.
If so maybe these were agrocybes.
**SEE PDF FOR MY PICTURES** Habitat: North East Texas. High humidity. Lots of rain lately. Grown in field MOST LIKELY NO GRAZING ANIMALS.
Gills: Light brown/black on the older ones
Stem: 2-4 inches. 1/4 inch in diameter. White/Tan color. Has vail with dark ring at top. Thick but is hollow inside. DOES NOT BRUISE BLUE/GREEN.
CAP: 3-4 inches diameter. Gold tops/white exterior fading to a brown-reddish color. Does not bruise blue.
Spore print color: Did not get spore print
Bruising: seems to be no bruising....
Other information: I’ve eaten plenty of gold caps in the past and it smells like what I remember...
Thanks in advance people. I hope I have given enough info to help.

Like Stated Above, Those Are An Agaricus Sp. Fresh Psilocybe Cubensis Will Bruise Bluish Where Damaged/Injured Within 45 Mins Of Being Picked.
That Being Said, The Only Cubes I've Found That Didnt Show That Much Bruising, Where Old Sun Dried Cubes, & Even Then I Could Still See A Tint Of Blue.

For the specimens posted, yes, you can rule out cubensis due to lack of bluish/bluish green bruising, free gills, Brown spores all points to Agaricus.
