Others posted before I pressed send on this but I also believe it is trich. That contam can happen before first flush but mostly after. If you do not take it out now and the spot begins to turn green before you have researched trichoderma the tub must be removed quickly or the spores will contaminate more of your grow area. Before you see the green it may be already too late to prevent some contamination of the area.

Some people try cutting it out but it doesn’t really work because the trich myc is already entwined with cube myc in places where the trich hasn’t sporulated yet and isn’t visible. And that dark patch looks ominous.

One option is to put piles of salt over the trich area so the spores don’t float around while you wait for those mushrooms to mature. I think the salt is supposed to slow the trich as well maybe.

Once you get those mushrooms matured though it’ll be time to get that thing out of there. Make sure to take spore prints so you can grow more. And look into getting some agar and Petri dishes, you could clone some of those mushrooms too

:whathesaid:

I haven't found anything that works. As soon as I detect trich, it becomes an outside tub.

I was afraid of that . I moved the tub to a different location as soon as I saw it . Appreciate the advice. Hopefully it won't affect my other tub.
