What are these black dots? I don't think it is pin mold

Background info.
- Straw pasturised with H2O2 - Inoculated with fully colonised golden teacher BRF cake in a glovebox - Straw looks colonised after 3 weeks and pins begin to appear - Grow bag remained sealed since inoculation
The grow bag had been sealed the whole time, but just as the pins / knots started to form, these black dots appeared overnight.

I removed the straw block from the bag to study it then quarantined it in a make shift chamber.
The black dots seemed only to be sticking to the sides of the bag and not the substrate. Now after a few days in the other chamber, a few dots have appeared on the bottom of the chamber - not on the substrate.

You can see the small poppy seed sized dots on the bottom. The are not growing on the end of a thread which is why I do not think it is pin mold. They seem to be sat directly on the side of the chamber.
Any ideas? Is it worth leaving it to see if / how it fruits?

Just because it's not easily identified doesn't mean it's not dangerous. I dunno that it could be worth risking unless you wanna throw it outside somewhere.

Have you done H2o2 with straw before? I guarantee that’s where you went wrong... you’ll be much better off using heat to pasteurize. I’m surprised it made it as far as it did.

Loads of times with oysters, never a problem with contams. But then again, oyster mycelium is much more hardcore.
Happy oysters on straw / H2O2

Interesting for sure. Anything black that grows in my grow space freaks me out though.

Is it some kind of bug egg? Looks like something you would get on a leaf on a tree.

I'll stick it on the balcony for now, it's a bit cool in the evenings here but i'd rather any potential contam issue to be out of the apartment. Got some coco coir colonising too, so all is not lost.

Could be possible, but any creature laying eggs would have been inside the grow bag for 4 weeks before doing so.
