I am reading a book on meditation and it speaks of a picture of a smiling Swami Satchidinanda. He is wearing a lil' orange loincloth and is standing balanced on one leg in a classic yoga posture but he is standing on a surfboard that is coming down on a big wave! Underneath him it says "You cannot stop the waves, but you can learn to surf."

I am wondering if anyone has this picture out there. It basically captures the whole book I am reading in that it shows how you can bring mindfulnes into the real world, which is full of sensory information, emotions and change.

Here is another story in this book I am reading that I thought to be quite humorous...it is talking about how fear is another emotion that many of us would like to avoid or that we believe we shouldn't be experiencing...

There is a story told of Mulla Nasrudin in which he was braggin that he had once casued a whole tribe of Bedouins to run. His friend asked him how the Mullah alone had made a whole tribe of wild bloodthirsty Bedouins to run. Nasrudin said, "It was simple. I ran and they all ran after me."

You might ask him if the picture is in that book.
