First shoe, little impatient. Cloning question.

So I got a tub, surface conditions weren't met correctly (didn't squish the sides of the sub down at all when spawning)

It's been a while, I want to take the three big un's and fly away.. I know I should wait; can anyone talk me into it or out of it please?
The largest one is the one I'd like to clone, I haven't cloned anything before and my understanding is that I need to cut out a piece of flesh from the inside, inside a sab with a clean plate ready, my question is, if I were to let impatience overwhelm me could I preserve a chunk of flesh in some way until I prepare a plate tomorrow?

That looks pretty good, surface conditions aren’t related to packing the sides down.
Those big ones will be ready by tomorrow probably so a case could be made for either way, eating now or waiting.
They’ll prob grow a little bit but mostly just the caps will open up.
As far as cloning, you could cut like an inch of stem off and put it in a bag in the fridge til you’re ready.
That should be enough to rip it open and have enough clean tissue in the middle to easily get a piece. If you’re willing to use an extra plate or two to clean it up you could save a tiny piece and drop to to the plate.

Yo A.K.a, thanks for the response.
I read somewhere packing around the edge encourages topside pinning?
Indeed there could, I think I've decided to wait until tomorrow night to trip. Going to let them continue for a few hours as I want to pick them once the veil is more viewable but I don't want to let them tear.
Thanks for the info too, I'll be sure to keep some stem to clone on a plate tomorrow.

The best way to minimize side pins is to ensure the surface is correct....level, hydrated, light and fae.

Thank you for your input Infrared. Admittedly, I wasn't flying that blind lol, I was happy with everything except the fact I hadn't pushed around the edges down firmer as I read post spawning that it encouraged surface pins.
Also the inconsistency of pinning is probably less to do with conditions and more a result of it being a germination agar plate that nocc'd the grain.
