Fuzzy Cake in FC

Hello!
I've grown a few times but haven't been able to figure this one out. I have a single B+ cake that's been in the FC for 2 weeks and keeps getting fuzzier no matter what I do. I birthed the cake too early, instead of white mycelium, there was this white fuzz that covered the inside of the jar.
Temp stays around 75 degrees with a few inches of damp perlite. A lighted mister goes on 10s off 30s for 16 hours each day. A fan goes for 4 min every 2 hours. I've tinkered with the fan anywhere from 6m every hour to 3min every 3 hours. I started with just a few holes and added more every few days. After it dried, I dunked it but after a week, the fuzz just came back.
Everything I try, I get the same result - this white fuzz. Thought it was FAE or high humidity, so I left the mister off for a couple days and everything dried out, but the fuzz continued.

thank you for any advice you're willing to offer!

That is peculiar looking. Sorry, my guess is bacterial or.. and I dislike throwing this out there for I'm not experienced with much contamination in general but possibly cobweb? just looks awfully fuzzy and almost as if its coming off of the cake.
Nevertheless, I could be completely wrong wait for another to pitch in with a more confident answer.

I don’t know if you have healthy myc colonizing the cake underneath but what’s showing on the outside is not cube mycelium.
You should check out the sgfc or the HC as a fruiting chamber. Having machines in the tubs al,ost never works out well

The fuzzy comes from too high humidity Ime, and fruiting chambers should never run on electricity. The vest advice i can give you is disconnect all the devices, roll the cake in verm again and let the myc regenerate to 'grab' the verm layer and mist lightly from high above to try to create surface conditions that resemble this

Zoom in to inspect the surface conditions

Looks like mold to me I'd probably toss it if I was you.

The lighting really, really sucks in those pictures, but i think it's still good enough to see that thing is covered in mold

Hello! 8 days ago, I took out the humidifier and fan. I keep the sides misted and fan 3-5 times a day. Attached are photos of the original cake and a new cake birthed 2 days ago showing the same white fuzz. Curious if anyone has a recommendation for the new cake to keep it from turning into the old one! Thank you.

Have these cakes all been from the same syringe? If the new cake is those last two pics it’s already gone. You can see bacterial myc and mold dueling it out.

Ugh, what a bummer. The syringes were different but the jars are from the same place. The first two pics are the new birthed cake, the last two pics are the newly birted cake while it was still in the jar.
Do you think there is anything I can do for the new cake?

They all looks moldy and bacterial to me.. your syringe or cake prep is off.. if you keep foil during colonization thats mistake.. follow RR videos for cakes

Kill it with fire. lol seriously though it has a lot of mold and it hasn’t even started pinning yet so there probably isn’t much hope for that one.
Were these premade jars then? I never trust those and I’ve seen a lot of issues.
If you can get the shorter half pints and maybe a new syringe and make a dozen new cakes im almost positive you’ll get some mushrooms. Especially if you use two different syringes just in case.

They were premade. Guess its time to invest in making them myself. This has all been very helpful and I really appreciate all the feedback. You guys are the best, thank you.
