Noob here..I have been finding Ovoids in Southern Pa. Prior to consuming any I decided to hunt down a Galerina just so I could compare what Ovids and Galerinas looked like. I thought this would be the safest route. So, I found some more Ovoids and Galerina today. I also found this other type of mushroom that looks exactly like the Ovoids but have different stripes. Can someone help me determine what it is or why it has a different stem? Looking it up in an app that scans mushrooms it said it was a Caerulesence or Caerulipes..
Any knowledge on this would be great. I attached a photo of its cap, stem, and gill. Wood lover for sure.

Yes. Blue bruising. I’m doing a spore print of all of them now.

Well I honestly didn't think P. caerulipes grew in SEPA, but after doing a quick search on MO it turns out it has been found around there, so I think that's all it could really be? It looks to fit the description, although I don't know if these grow in the same habitat as ovoids, I think they're more often found in forests
Wait and see what other people think because I'm not personally familiar with the species

Pretty sure that is just an ovoid, rhizomorphic growth at stipe base looks pretty textbook. Annulus probably just wore off due to weathering

This is what I was thinking too, the stipe just didn't seem right to me. But, on closer inspection, I'm pretty sure this is true

These are the Ovoids I’m finding in the same area. Feet away from each other.

Ovoids vary a lot in appearance. At times they can look like other Psilocybe species. I've seen them look like cyans, beaos, azures and libs. They're a cool species, for sure.
As far as why they look different is still up for debate. I think it may have to do with subtle differences in the substrate, but further testing needs to be done.
