Shrooms are great, smoke alot of weed.. Tried coke a few times Its enjoyable but strictly for like birthday or new year something like that.
Shrooms began for me as medicine and have since become a joy as well, it's really nice to have a trip at mid-day in the beautiful sun and by 4-5pm I'm back to normal able to get productive with the rest of the day.

I think a lot of people prefer shrooms or LSA because they are easy to get, milder, or don't last as long as LSD or Mescaline. Obviously there are people who have rough acid comedowns and prefer shrooms for purely personal reasons.

I actually have a difficult time differentiating the effect of mushrooms from LSD. The former makes me yawn a lot but that's about it. I sometimes think mushrooms make me feel more inebriated relative to L. But that might just be in my head.
I have a taste for many substances but psychedelics are king for me. Other substances might be more pleasurable but I don't find any class of drugs as interesting as classic psychedelics. The peak off a solid dose of mushrooms or L, in the proper setting, is heaven on earth to me.

Now I’m in my 50s, I’ve converged on drugs that grow from the earth, and are not made in a laboratory.
Don’t get me wrong, if I could get hold of LSD, I would try it again

For me, the biggest reason is that its a natural substance. U can grow it right inside your own house. Thats big for me.
The second reason is the trip itself. Strong but gentle. Intense yet comforting. Introspective yet far-out. The effect of it "Feels Like Home". Shrooms have every effect Im looking for and more. Mushrooms are truly magical.

I too feel at home while on mushrooms. Nothing comes close to that feeling. I enjoy the rest I get while away from this reality.

You can find it growing naturally all over much of the world, pick it up, and without any preparatory steps - eat it and know mystic wonder.

In the words of Kilindhi Iyi, this is why we are certain mushrooms were the first psychedelic used by humans, because they are a one stop shop to the higher realms...

What you both said! The first time I ever reached the psychedelic headspace, almost 35 years ago, stood out in the middle of a field at night staring up at the sky, the overriding feeling I got was that; “I had returned home!”
Strange feeling that has never left me. And years later when I watched the Spirit Molecule video on YouTube hosted by Joe Rogan (and many years later read the book ), there is a lady in the video who describes the same feeling on DMT that I got on LSD; sort of a waiting area, where souls wait to be re-housed in a new human.........
This is what I look for every time I trip, and what has kept me “coming home” for 35 years: it feels more like home than home does!

I feel like mushrooms are a friend in a traditional sense of the word; someone I can talk to who guides me and has followed me in the fields as I've foraged over the years, and who lives and breathes with me in my home. The experience- well in tune with the above- feels guided (or if not guided at all times, I feel acccompanied). At higher doses it is much more pleasant than higher doses of L (by far). I find it more useful as well. I am often left with more questions than answers with L, but feel resolved after taking mush. I like higher does of psychs and L, 2-CB, etc. all just leave me feeling raked over the coals in a truly horrific way for waaay too long. Duration is perfect with mush. Other natural psychs aren't substances I want to use on nearly as regular a basis as mush. Also it's my favorite microdose. I can take .3 and GET SHIT DONE. On microdoses of L I'm a happy fellow, but not terribly producctive or innovative IME. I don't paint abstracts or write poetry for a living. I need gas in my tank, so to speak. I even like a threshold dose for daytime activities. Fun AF IME. Threshold dose of L and I'm getting into goofy territory. Not for operating a chainsaw or working on equipment or manual/technical tasks IMO. Definitely the "coming home effect" is great as well. A lot of other psychs do NOT feel like coming anywhere near "home".
