http://
Hi guys, I apologise in advance I’m new to this site and new to picking, but here I go!
I went for a walk near my house to see what I could find. I live just west of Melbourne CBD in Australia, near Footscray. I saw ALL sorts of mushrooms (there’s so many!!) https://www.google.com/amp/s/endofthegame.net/2012/05/09/psychedelic-mushrooms-and-you/amp/ I’ve been using this link as a guide. After a while I stumbled across a patch that called to me. After some inspection and some slightly out of focus pictures (sorry), I gently picked a few to bring home for a spore print. Currently that’s the stage I’m at.. http://
So I will hopefully have a spore print by tomorrow.
In the mean time can I get any thoughts? And maybe some insight into more specific info that may be needed to confirm ID? And are these even the same mushrooms?? They grew amongst each other but I’m sure that doesn’t mean much. And the one with the lighter cap seems to have a different gill attachment..
Thanks guys!
Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color: Very important!
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

I think you found something psychedelic You are right in reference to the lighter cap. It is probably something inactive and should be tossed. It would be to your benefit to fill out the parameters at the bottom of your post for info on the gills, stem, cap, bruising, etc since it is always harder for us to tell from a photo than for you to tell in person. Happy hunting.

Those Look To Be Psilocybe Subaeruginosa, I Can See Clear Bluish Bruising.
Can You Upload Some More/Better Pics Of The Bruising?
