I basically ended up with a 4 jar blob of dense mushroom food. Any suggestions for putting it to use? its 2V 1BR 1DW with 1TB gypsum. I was thinking about bagging it PCing it then trying to inoculate the top layer maybe spread in a mono tub? Its not a big deal I redid the jars but just curious if there is a second use?

What was the intention that you had? You could put a little bit each time you soak your grains if you work with grains.

Maybe if you add some vermiculite it will loosen it up? Lol not really sure but I'd just start fresh and keep it simple. Sounds like you added a lot gypsum. A little goes a long way.

Im confused. What exactly happened? You were making PF type cakes and the gypsum all went to the bottom?
If thats the case, and you havent PCd the jars yet, just empty them out and re-mix them up til theyre consistent.
Gypsum has a habit of separating down to the bottom of buckets and stuff if you pour water on top. I used to see big globs of it in the bottom of my buckets when making coir sub, even tho it was on top of the coir and verm when I dumped the water in.
Best way to use gypsum in BRF cakes is to mix it in well with your verm before adding water, then mixing well again after the water and before adding the BRF, then giving it a good mix after to incorporate everything.
For bulk subs, Ill either mix the gypsum with the verm and coir brick real good before the water and then good again after the water and set time, or Ill add it in on top after adding the water and mix it all up after it sets.

I just started using gypsum in my cakes. About table spoon per 8 jars. I saw it on Arvin47. The mistake I made was thinking by diluting the gypsum in warm water it would be more soluble adding to my mixing bowl. I use a Kitchenaid so its a piece of cake. Because the solution was at temperature it became almost dough thick. It amounted to double to the usual content of a jar. I made 4 jars then decided on dusting 2 of them then the final 2 this morning because I know the density of the cake was too high for colonization. I ended up with 8 jars worth of nutrients in a 4 jar format. Its not contaminated or bad. I am assuming the rice powder cooked every so slightly.
I did indeed start over just adding the gypsum with the rice powder. I am about 6 months into learning this process and at the stage of trying different things. This just did not look right. I figured it has all the ingredients just in a very dense form that cannot be remixed.
