First time grower, got fruits!

Very new to the forum; this will be my first post.
First off, thanks everybody for all the useful info on here. I've referred to shroomery for all of my questions so far and it has done me well thanks to all of you!
So here is my grow with a few questions:
1) Inoculated 12 jars with P. Cub. Nepal Chitwan on April 24. Growth started quickly and looked good in almost all jars.
2) Made my SGFC and dunked the first few on May 17 and got em in on the 18th. I cut consolidation a bit short (4 days after 100%) because i had a good amount of pins in them. https://i.imgur.com/7G9FOJ5.jpg <----SGFC https://i.imgur.com/8J3QYxd.jpg <----Day 2 https://i.imgur.com/t8J3RKW.jpg <----Day 3 https://i.imgur.com/8XObgdb.jpg <----Day 4
3) Noticed a couple jars that seemed like possible contam so i didn't dunk them. But I let them soak for a day in their jars and then set them on my kitchen counter (dif room than my SGFC) and made a shitty little SGFC-type environment. Not planning to eat them but why not let them grow for the experience? https://i.imgur.com/EGVFL9C.jpg <----"SGFC" https://i.imgur.com/uRuCKey.gifv <----Day 2 https://i.imgur.com/OdjXmCc.jpg <----Day 3 https://i.imgur.com/26GkHa0.jpg <----Day 4
4) Pins grew quick. Within 4 days I had veils break on a few small fruits, so I snipped them with sterile scissors. https://i.imgur.com/iOqmadt.jpg <----Snipped off fruits
5) Now I think I'm a day or two away from harvest #1
A few questions:
1) These "contam" cakes on my counter have relatively large fruits that look healthy. Safe to eat or don't risk it? (possible contam i noticed was very faint yellowish dots that just didn't look like the rest of the mycelium, but it wasn't obviously contaminated)
2) My fruits are all pretty small other than a few. The veils are starting break on some and it's only 4 days since dunking. Possibly because of heat? It's been about 80 in my house consistently. Btw, the "contam" cakes are by far the biggest fruits
3) If I harvest as the veils break, when it actually is time to redunk, should I be removing the fuzzy base of where I cut off fruits?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
p/s: no hygrometer in my SGFC, but I rinsed/soaked the perlite and have been fanning/misting about 6X a day.

First off, congratulations on joining the cult
1) I see no contaminations on the “contam” cakes. Can you describe In more detail what the contamination looked like if you removed it or take a good picture so someone can ID it? If it’s just faint yellow dots, that could be bacterial or even wet pieces of vermiculite. I’ve had that a lot on cakes, was always little goldish pieces of vermiculite. When I started I thought bruising was Trich and, like an idiot, panic tossed all my cakes Also, healthy fruits should be safe to consume so long as the contamination isn’t on the fruit itself. In the wild they grow in all sorts of contamination.
2) Size of fruits is dependent on genetics mostly. And since you did a multi spore syringe, it’s a toss up where you’ll have big fruits and where you won’t.
3) No need to remove the fuzzy base, myc will grow over it.

Thanks for the reply. I wish I had taken a picture. It wasn't verm because it had fully colonized and only mycelium was visible. There was a dime size portion of the myc that just didn't look the same as the rest, and it had a few yellow dots that didn't look right to me. ALSO, after letting the 2 jars soak for a day, one of the cakes felt slimey. I know this is often bacteria waste product. I also could have sworn I saw a tiny pest running on it, but it very well could have been a piece of verm floating along the cake in the water that was still on it.

When I started, everything I saw that didn’t look like a brilliant white clothed angel was contamination
Then I realized that cakes bruise, dry out, usually are slightly bacterial when working from MS, etc
It’s hard to say what the yellow dots could be. And I’ve had cakes that were a bit slimy after dunking way too long that turned out fine after getting some good FAE in my sgfc.
I’ve had yellow dots be everything from gold pieces of verm to bacteria. But obviously it’s impossible to identify without seeing it. I’d recommend looking for the common contamination thread to see if what you had matches anything in there.
And get familiar with that thread because, from my experience, most of my worries of contamination ended up being due to bruising or drying out.

Looking good man
All those fruits are good to eat. And fyi it’s okay to use regular old scissors or a blade to harvest, no need for trying to be sterile now that they’re colonized and chilling in the open air.
High heat will usually lead to slightly larger, quicker growing mushrooms that are very hollow. If you can get the temps down to lower 70s they should be more dense.
As far as the size goes, it could be genetics or an overly wet substrate.
