birthing cakes...HELP!! 1

Okay first off hey everyone I hope everyone is having a great weekend
So I'm a first time grower. I used a mushroom kit and the jar method. I inoculated on March 26. It is now May 23 and I'm getting some uneven results so I would greatly appreciate any input from anyone because I have done extensive research but at the same time I read so much different techniques and I'm confused, Ha. So, from what I thought all my jars should have been completely covered in mycelium by now. So far about half are completely. Some are half covered, but they started pinning already. I birthed the cakes that looked like this (some don't have pins) and am soaking them (12 hrs??)

I have some that I was thinking to let sit longer (it's been 2 months though???) that are half covered, but a couple them are majorly pinning and I feel like they need to be set free lol.

And lastly 3 jars with what I THINK to be mold. Remove and let grow or throw away??

Anyone who has any input at all please please please throw it my way and I will favor be grateful!!!!!!!!!

What is the “jar method”? I’m assuming you mean P.F Tek.
1) If a cake has a large amount of area that is not colonized and is pinning, it’s usually because of contamination.
2) Those in the bucket look ok, although I can’t tell completely.
3) Is that third picture with all those pins largely uncolonized?
4) Those last two pictures look very moldy. Never open moldy jars inside and most certainly not in your grow area. Never try to fruit moldy cakes anywhere near your grow area (and as a noob, don’t fruit moldy cakes, period. Some do it to experiment but they’re usually experienced and know how to identify contamination).
NOTE: Although I’m very experienced with brf cakes, I’m in no way an experienced enough cultivator for someone to base their decisions on my advice. Make sure to get multiple opinions and, if possible, seek the knowledge of a Trusted Cultivator.

Most of those look totally colonized.
What makes you think they aren’t?

Those last 2 pics definitely have mold in them. The others seem fine and ready to fruit.

Definitely toss those last 2.
That one with all the mushrooms growing inside may be colonized I can’t really see but if it’s growing mushrooms in the jar it’s either ready to go or contaminated and trying to get some spores into the world in a last ditch effort.
Those in the bucket look good.
Slow colonization could be from an overly wet substrate or contamination. A lot of syringes will have some level of bacteria and although brf cakes seem to handle bacteria decently, sometimes it will cause problems

Looks like some of your jars stalled out or got the mold so dont use those. I would not dunk the cakes that have fruits on Them, it will damaged the fruits itself. Just birth into a FC and bottom-water.
Next time, use wide mouth jars, much easier to work with. Also as u may have noticed, you were a little late in birthing.
Other than that, looks oretty decent

Thanks everyone!!! So I flushed the ones in the bucket for like 15 hrs then put them in the FC. The other ones I shook up good and flipped over and put in a box on top of the fridge...the mycelium literally grew over night so I think I'm gonna leave em for a couple more days and go ahead and birth the rest. I also threw away the ones that looked like mold. Thanks everyone!!!!
