Is this electrical stuff up to code?

This is on the ceiling for a light fixture. It just has romex going into a plastic box. The lamp I want to install won't put weight on the plastic box, I don't know how sturdy it is. Is this up to code?

That Is A Plastic "Pop-In" Box With Ears.
It Can Hold Lightweight Fixtures, Such As LED Globes & Flat LED Fixtures, But Nothing Heavy.
No Ceiling Fan, No Chandelier, No Pendants.
White Sheathing On The Wire Indicates 14-2 To Me. 12-2 Sheathing Is Usually Yellow.

It's Fine, It's Up To Code As Long As You Don't Hang A Heavy Fixture From It.

Thanks, there was a low voltage light fixture there form the previous home owner, the transformer died in it. It was probably too heavy.

I mean, you should cap the box if you're not using it. But otherwise it looks fine to me.

Licensed electrician here. All ceiling boxes are required to support at least 50 pounds (NEC 314.27(A)), so you can assume the box will be able to support a simple light fixture. Boxes that are designed to support ceiling fans must be labeled as such, and must have a label listing the weight it can support if over 35 pounds (NEC 314.27(D)).
You're good to go with that box for your basic light fixture.
