Growing tent questions

Ok, i want to use one of the minature greenhouses, with the clear vinal covering, it has like 4 or 5 wire chelves. i am wondering what is the best way to humidify the chamber, and also have air exchanges? i ws considering buying an ultrasonic, and also a cool mist, keeping the cool mist on 24/7 and supplementing with the ultrasonic for added humidity. Can anyone give me some adive on this? Thanks~

This is a Martha Stewert closet and hose set up.
in the box
I use the ultrasonic and cool mist. Very firm believer in air exchange.
In the exectrical Dept of the hardware store I find these. and on the ultrasonic Now on the back of the closet I cut the holes for the hose fittings and put tape over them and cut holes threw the tape for the fittings. The reason for the tape is to give the clostet plastic a little extra strength when holding the hose weight. The outlet for the ultrasonic goes above the cool mist outlet that way the mist from the ultrasonic drops into the airstream of the cool mist and mixes better.

Magash, do you run both the ultrasonic and the cool mist 24/7? Is there any specific brands or anything that is better for use with the tent fruiting chamber? Thanks~ P.S. Can you tell me what substrate and casing mix you use? Those ar some massive mushrooms!

Thanks for the links, i like the idea of using the second one, only a couple of modifications and it would work really well, i wonder though is using a cool mist as well as the ultrasonic would be better for air exchange?

I run the cool mist (vicks) 24/7 and the ultrasonic (sunbeam) every 2 hours for 15 min. All depends on how full the tent is and the time of year in the area.

There r a couple of small probs with that set up. 1) the ultrasonic breaks down all the time. Every 3-4mths. 2) U need 2 adjust the humidity with a timer the has min incriments. 3) The bottom shelf has 2 b misted because the temps r diff from top 2 bottom. If u use the 1st setup U wont have this prob. 4) U def need 1 of those RH meter.
Other than that I think you'll b fine... Magash has an interesting set up. I know from looking around, his set up is a bit more on the expensive side. Maybe $20 more. I wouldn't give Martha the money. LOL...

Mine has been running for years, may want to look into a different make. 2) U need 2 adjust the humidity with a timer the has min incriments. Easy enough 3) The bottom shelf has 2 b misted because the temps r diff from top 2 bottom. If u use the 1st setup U wont have this prob. I have never even heard anybody having this problem. If anything the lower levels have more moisture then the top. Watch the mist from the ultrasonic and watch which direction it goes in. 4) U def need 1 of those RH meter. A grower should have one with any setup.

Well I want to be able to build this system knowing i will be able to get a long life out of it, and also have it very practical. The suggestions you posted i will definitly put into consideration. Thanks again for all of your help! With the RH meter, are digital ones as accurate as i need it to be? It will be filled with casings as well, so those also contribute to the humidity.

Here's my setup, I kept that really simple and works pretty fine.
That's a mini greenhouse with 3 shelves bought at Wal-Mart

For humidity, I simply use a rubbermaid with water and a heater. I heat the water just a little bit to get the desired 90% RH. For air exchange, I use a cheap coolmist that is set on a timer. Can't run the coolmist 24/7 because RH will drop too much and water tank will get empty too fast. It is set to run 12 times a day for 30 minutes using a digital timer (20$)
This is where the coolmist is blowing inside. the hole is covered with some cheap vent filter and the air intake from the coolmist is also filtered with polyfill and that same vent filter.

Now, as shown in the first pic, the rubbermaid for humidity was put on the last shelf. Now, I leveled the whole tent with a couple of bricks so I can put the rubbermaid under the tent and free that 3rd shelf. The bottom was sealed with a couple of garbage bags .
Greenhouse : $30 Coolmist : $20 Submersible heater : 20$ Stuff to hook up the coolmist : 15-20$
Killer terrarium.
