SE QLD AUS COW PATTOCK
    #26686702 - 05/21/20 09:35 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

First 2 images are of tray 1. Image number 3 is a close up of specimens from tray one.

Last two images are of tray 2.

I suspected pan cyans for tray 1 and cubes in tray 2...I accidentally left some possible pans in tray 2.

Mushrooms were all growing out of cow dung after rain.

There Isn't A Set Start & End Date For Any Mushroom. If Conditions Are Right, They Will Fruit

Some of the bigger pan cyans only had grown and couple of inches out of the dung, is that normal? I'm used to pans, especially bigger ones growing quite tall.

Some are tall, some are short. Genetics and growing factors. Liberty caps is a good example, in tall grass their stem can be 25cm+, but doesn't get taller than 2-3cm if the grass is kept short.
Panaeolus cyanescens and psilocybe cubensis grows year around as long as the humidity and temperature is ok. I've found both in way below 10°C, but it seems the cyans can take a bit more cold weather than the cubes.

These winter pans are likely to stay short just to avoid the wind.
found a patch of pan cy (at 7-9c w/ high wind) that were cracker dry not 10m from a primo patch protected by foliage

Panaeolus (Copelandia) cyanescens and Psilocybe cubensis. Those are some gorgeous Panaeolus cyan.

Edit:  I've found Panaeolus cyanescens with temps in 10°-20°c (50°-68f) you have to consider ground temperatures as well as atmospheric.
