Psilocybe Subaeruginosa ID/Rotten?
    #26686224 - 05/21/20 05:51 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Good morning all,

Happy Friday, first time picker and poster. If anyone could help me ID and check if these are rotten I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for advance!

Habitat:
Victoria, found in soil by fallen rotten tree, covered by long grass and soil, all found together. Two days of heavy rain, recently cold weather.

Gills:
Brown with some purple gills when picked but all have turned mostly dark purple since picking (within 2 hours). Some gills are mushing together, maybe rotting?

Stem:
Longest stem 6cm, shortest stem 3cm. width under 1 cm. All stems are hollow. Some stems are splitting.

Cap:
Largest 3cm Diameter, smallest 2cm. brown purple when picking but all purple now. Some caps have held shape but most are falling apart and are brittle. Glossy shine and translucent edges, when picked you could slightly see the gills through the edges of the cap. Some of the most brittle broken caps have lost their shine.

Spore print color:
Still waiting on spore print, will update once available

Bruising:
All mushrooms have bruised very dark purple from stem to cap

Other information:
Has an earthy scent but doesn't smell bad.
