Can’t make agar transfers on ready plates, what to do?

Hey folks I’m on my third agar transfer since MS syringe but due to long hour night shift work I can’t make any transfers and my plates are now fully grown to the edges. Should I leave them at room temp 60-80 degrees or move them to the refrigerator until I can transfer? Also I threw away two plates with bacterial growth but all the others looked really clean before fully growing out, will mycelium grow over bacteria hiding it or will it stop and grow around it? The plates looked good but I’m just wondering if it’s possible for something to grow underneath and how would you spot something like that? Thanks for any info.

If you're gonna transfer in the next week or so just leave em. They might pin but then you could clone that. Bacteria affects the growth many ways. It can stop it, slow it or just cause non uniform growth. It's usually smells weird too

Thanks. I’m going to try to make plates Sunday and transfer on Monday. I may attempt my first liquid culture with a few of the plates after transferring. They just look clean. On another note. I’m seeing single droplets of water in a few place on top of the myc. Is that normal?

There’s nothing inherently wrong with letting plates grow out all the way, it’s just that the edges are more likely to have contams if some get in.
If you’re worried about it just take the transfer from a spot closer to the middle.
