ratio of liquid culture to grain spawn

Hello, this is my first attempt at growing and I purchased liquid culture and pre-sterilized grain spawn. I wondering a few things:
1) I have a 2.5 pound bag of spawn (millet) and a syringe with 10mL of liquid culture. From what I understand the more LC you add the faster inoculation will occur. That being said it would be nice to not use the whole syringe in one go unless people think that is necessary. How many mL of LC would you recommend for the 2.5 pound bag? I know this is probably a tricky question because it is hard to know how concentrated the LC is. Ideally I would like the bag to be fully inoculated in 2.5-3.5 weeks.
2) If I don't use it all now is it best to keep the syringe in the freezer or fridge? How long will it last?
3) I am hoping to grow in 3 70 quart monotubs. Will a fully inoculated 2.5 pounds of grain spawn be enough for all 3 tubs? It would be nice to spread that one bag across all 3, unless that will not be concentrated enough.
I welcome any advice!

Never used LC, so i don't know the answer to most of what you're asking. But definitely keep the syringe in the fridge, not freezer. Will probably last for weeks or months but LCs are known to easily hide contaminants.
for your question 3), i'm not very intuitive with imperial measurements, but it seems like a low spawn:sub ratio to me. i use between 700-1000 g (dry) grain to 1 tub, and i think my tubs are smaller than yours.

Probably like 10.
You could use one drop if you wanted.
The trick with lc is to find the sweet spot right before the grain gets too wet. You’re better off using a small amount cuz once it gets too wet it slows growth down significantly.
I did some experiments with quarts using 25-75ml and they were all too wet.

I’ve never dealt with spawn in weight but a qt of grain feels over a pound itself (including glass) so a very approximate guess would be about a pound a qt. So if you have 2.5 qt that would be a low spawn ratio for 1 tub of that size, let alone 3.
I’d use it to make 2 or 3 of those 6qt shoe boxes from Walmart. $.88 each
And I think 5cc of that solution should be fine. Squirt an area, let it colonize a nice chunk the size of a newborn head ? and then mix it in with all the raw grain and let it finish up. Done within 3 weeks I’d say for sure.

10CC is not very much. I use about 50CC per 4 lb bag and they finish in 10-14 days. I would think 10CC for a 2.5lb bag is about right to get them finished in 3 weeks. I am guessing you aren't into agar or making your own grains yet, but thats the path I'd go down. You can put a drop of the LC on agar and use it forever(as long as its clean). Just save 1 CC. Buy a presto pressure cooker and start learning

If you decide to really get into cultivation this collection of info is invaluable- https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24144021

1) I did 3ml per quart jar of rye grain, that worked. That should be enough for your bag, too, I guess. First sign of growth after 6+ days so don't get frustrated.
2) Fridge
3) It's not enough I think. I use 9 quart jars 3/4 full for a 60 quart tub. My book 'The Psilocybin mushroom bible' recommends at least 10%, ideally 25% spawn to substrate (% in volume)
Good luck!

Thanks for the input everyone!
I am also wondering what grain spawn to sub ratio I should use with a monotub setup. Because I purchased pre-sterilized grain spawn I would like to minimize the amount I use for each tub, but I obviously don't want to use too little. I see that Frank recommends about 2.5 Q of fully inoculated grain spawn for 4 Q of sub. This seems kind of high to me. I would love to hear from some people that have grown in a monotub about what their ratios typically are.

Anywhere between 1:1 and 1:4 ratio. I feel like 1:3 ish is a good standard. That’s a brick of coir, 2qt verm, 4ish qts water which comes out to 11-12 qts substrate and 4 - 5 qt of spawn.
The nutrients come from your grain so you want plenty. If you try to go too low you will extend your colonization times which adds significant risk, and you’ll lower your overall yield.
