I’m stumped
    #26685065 - 05/21/20 07:46 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

I’m currently in the process of my first pe grow however I’ve encountered what looks like a ton of bruising. My first thought was that it’s mold because I’ve never seen this before and if it is I don’t know what mold it is. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Perhaps my blobs have sucked up all the moisture in the sub? But would it result in this?

Not mold, just bruising mycelium. Looks dry, but also you got fruits!

Thank you for confirming and saving my sanity. The blobs off of that we’re huge. I need to get some jiffy mix to case with next time. I’ve also just started adding verm to my coir so I gotta adjust my ratios a little more.

Damn that thing is looking rough!

lol the last one looks like somebody blew up that mushroom and sprayed blue all over.

If you case it next time it’ll usually work out better but those blobs and mushrooms are good.

I know, I left for a few days and came back to that. I’m a little upset about it ha. I did case these with coir/verm but maybe too early. Or maybe my casing layer wasn’t hydrated enough. I’m learning

Yeah you’ll get it man that’s a decent outcome for first shot at PE.

Casing PE with coir/verm doesn’t really work you need jiffy or 5050 mix.

That’s my plan for the next run. I’ve gotten only one kind of good shoebox out of this one.

Except I ripped some sub of the side while removing massive blob side pins

That’s a great cluster you should clone it if you can.

Have you tried them yet?? The good thing is even if you don’t get a huge pin set it’s usually still like getting a canopy from normal cubes after factoring in potency.

Those will be ready in a day or two and prob significantly bigger.

I haven’t tried them yet and most definitely plan on cloning those. I’m notes worried about canopies as much as I am about dialing in my conditions to avoid side and bottom pins. Just gotta most a little more.
