Ok guys round two, I got some samples today and all look quite similar with a few slight differences.

Firstly these ones were found together beside a tree in a small bunch, they’re all a slightly dull gold top that is flat with a small nipple, they have bruised blue with a white stem and creamy brown gills.

This second group was found with one by itself and the other three in a small moist barley patch, the ones that have been uprooted were already pulled out of the ground but left beside the track as if someone had already found them.. they are similar to the others but a slightly more vivid yellow/gold  top that has a bit more rounded shape that the previous flat shrooms, with blue bruising, a white stem and creamy brown gills but ever so slightly lighter than the others. They also have a dark blueish tinge just around the edges of the cap.

Thirdly these ones were growing out the side of a burnt stump, they’re more distinctly dark  on top but still a brown/gold colour, I haven’t noticed any bruising but the gills creamy with a green tinge in white lighting as my phone shows but less noticeable in my rooms yellow light. The stems are white the overall shape is similar to the last batch.

Lastly these couple were found separately, it might not be worth taking the risk when they’re so small? They look similar to the others though.

Hopefully I’m on the right track now? It took quite a while to track these suckers down, I’m curious about storage also, are they fine at room temperature for a few days or do they require refrigerating? Cheers.

You have a mixed collection of Psilocybe subaeruginosa and Hypholoma fasciculare,  the bluish bruising mushrooms in the 1st two pictures are Psilocybe subaeruginosa

Freezer Shrooms Must Last A Long Ass Time, Because I've Got Some Cubes Still 100% Cracker Dry In A Mason Jar, In A Drawer, From 2 Seasons Ago & They Are Still Potent.

Yes, dried mushrooms in a freezer would last almost forever. Yes, they'd still be potent after a couple of seasons in room temperature, but less so. You'd loose quite a bit of potency. I prefer keeping my mushrooms at top quality. I don't see any reason for not keeping them in the freezer either.

Some Folks Own Very Small Freezers. Myself Included. Not Enough Space For A Bunch Of Mushrooms.

Also, Not Everyone Shares The Fact That They Hunt Psilocybin Mushrooms To Friends & Family Members Who Might Also Open The Freezer. I Do, But Most Don't.

I'd toss out that box of frozen lasagna, I value my mushrooms more than frozen supermarket food

Ah, thanks for all the info guys, I reckon I’ll try these fresh but in future I’ll dry/freeze them as I recently coincidentally invested in a food dehydrator lol. I’m assuming zip lock bags would be just as effective in the freezer to save a bit of space also. Cheers.

Edit: I’ve washed them and put them in the dehydrator at 35c (The lowest setting, I’ve read that it’s fine) just wondering how long I should go for, with food I usually go 12-24 hours, any longer seems excessive..

Small ziplock bags is the way to go. You could make powder before filling up your bags to save additional space. I would use a box for the bags anyway, as small ziplock bags floating freely around in the freezer could be messy. And, you'll find much more!
As for drying, 35°C is fine, how long that'll take, no idea. Different dryers, different mushrooms etc.
For normal sized panaeolus cyanescens I use 3-4 hours, for the fattest cubes it can take all night.

Hey guys, after my last batch not seeming to be enough I decided to go hunting again, this time to a beach I was told about, I couldn’t find anything anywhere that was similar to my last batch but I did find a bunch eventually that look different to my last batch but still seem to fit the description. I can’t really see any blue bruising or a blue ring around the edges of these ones so I have my doubts but they look like other shrooms people have found so I thought it would be best to still ask. Sorry again for the lighting, I found them all in damp mossy areas with grass and fern shrubs growing near by with wood debris making it the typical environment, most were in small groups not far from one another, a meter give or take apart. They all have similar brown/gold tops that are darker in the canter, white stems and gills that are more tanned than my last batch. Cheers.
