Is this PC worth the money?

She's a beauty but way bigger than I'm used to. These seem to be getting hard to find but $400 plus a days drive I'm a bit on the fence with this buy. What do you think?

Plus it’s been converted to a valve and a higher blowout plug. I would definitely do it. You won’t regret it.

Yes. And no. It is already converted. But that makes me think the seller probably already made a killing using it. If it was new I would say for sure....
Used, you don't know if it has micro cracks or even holds pressure.
I'd go $250.00
Other than the moded valve and blow out plug. A new 941 is $499 with free shipping in the states

Definitely this!
I think in USD nowadays the AA 941 are around $500. You can convert it yourself for like $50 or less. That means that for a brand new AA that you know is in pristine condition, with no micro cracks, no pitting, seal issues, etc...
It's possible it could be a good deal but it is definitely an older version, so it could have been used a shit load of times and worn out.
I'd be making sure it is working 100% and is in great condition. And probably best to negotiate a better price. $250 as sockadin said sounds pretty fair.
I don't know how common it is with AA but I have had 2 prestos get pitting in them after a couple years from metals in the water reacting with the aluminum. Eventually it gets so bad you get sketched out to use them and just get rid of them . I'd hate to buy an AA and find out it has some issue like that or microcracks or a shoddy metal to metal seal that needs work to get going.
Then, the brand new one might seem like a better deal

Damn I didn't even read the $400 plus a days drive...if dude won't negotiate the price it sounding more and more like a new one delivered to your door would be ab etter deal.
I'm not sure how that works in the US but in Canada I found a cookware store with AA 941 with free shipping so I imagine you guys must have a place where you could get a brand new one delivered for the prices I mentioned above
Somethin to think about

You can order direct from All American. http://www.allamericancanner.com/All-American-41-Quart-Pressure-Canner.htm
It could be a 3rd party, but it is where I get my shit from.

red hill general store
That is where I ordered my overpressure plug and stopcock so I can convert my AA 941. They still shipped quickly to Canada even with covid ongoing.

Damn yeah maybe I'll try to see if they will be more reasonable with the price. I didn't realize they were 500 new delivered. Goodwill has some options but shipping costs are outrageous. Super appreciate the insight friends!

I love my AA, 10 years of near daily use and it's still like new.
