Are the expensive impulse sealers really better?

I'm just curious. I have a 12" sealer I bought for $20 on eBay a few years ago, it's held up all this time and I still haven't had to replace the wire (which it came with extras of). It seals thick spawn bags perfectly and the temp adjusts well, I never melt thru.

Is there really a difference between these and the $100 + sealers?

I’ve had a cheapy one for eBay for 4 or 5 years, think it was about £25. It’s not been in constant use but has always worked perfect.

I’ve been a bit obsessed about putting it back in the box lol.

Hahaha I saved the box too. It keeps the arm down for storing and it has the spare wires in it.
