This isn't really a specific question seeking a specific questions.
But, I wanted to see, if anyone had suggestions for home improvement to turn my home into either/and/or lab/grow friendly space.
And, this is going to be really vague, indecisive, annoying, impossible, more so looking for food for thought. So, go wild. Or, especially anything you've seen work well yourself.
I've been living in the house for a year, and come a year will likely have gone through a major shift in life and career trajectory (thankfully). So, I haven't decided, if I plan to live/work in the house and get dug in for the longhaul, move on and sell the house, or live/work here seasonally.
So, looking at different scenarios that could include: adding another building to live on the property, adding additional outbuildings for labs or greenhouses, selling the house, indefinitely staying in the house with rooms dedicated to lab or growspace.
Basically, either totally convert the house, put some resale value into the house, or at least not trash it totally.
Foremost, in my mind is ripping out the carpet. What are some recommendations for flooring and subflooring? Painting or otherwise treating or dressing walls and ceilings? What are some considerations to keep moisture either from excessive cleaning or constant humidity from creating damage?
